Colin Stanfield

Colin Stanfield grew up on Prince Edward Island, Canada and has worked in the arts and culture sphere for over two decades. He is the founder of Raspberry Point a Festival consulting company focusing on strategic planning, programming and event production. Colin launched the Prince Edward Island Film, Food & Idea Festival (FFIF) in 2016 — a unique film festival and TedTalks-like conference focusing on social issue films and social entrepreneurialism — which will take place in Charlottetown, PEI in July, 2017. Recent positions include Acting Director, Film Festival Alliance; Festival Producer, Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New York Film Festival; Managing Director, San Francisco Film Society; and Festival Producer, Nantucket Comedy Festival.
Colin studied Music at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, NS (BA, Music Jazz), Business Administration at the University of Ottawa, and Arts Administration at the Banff School of Management. He ran all International Programs for IFP (IFP Abroad in Berlin, Cannes, and Rotterdam), was the head of their annual film-financing forum No Borders, and a member of the film selection committee for the IFP Market. From 2004 to 2005, he was Festival Producer and a member of the Programming Committee for Silverdocs: American Film Institute/Discovery Channel Documentary Festival. In 2008, he was hired as the Executive Director of the Nantucket Film Festival a position that he held until 2012. From 2010–2012, he split his time between New York and Dubai where he served as a consultant for the Dubai Film Market.
Colin has produced two feature films: Francisco Orvananos BACKGAMMON (World Premier in Competition, Sarasota Film Festival 2015) and Amos Kollek’s RESTLESS (World premier, in Competition, Berlin International Film Festival, 2008).
