Eve Gabereau

Eve Gabereau is the co-Founder and Managing Director of Soda Pictures, as UK-based film distribution and production company. Her principal role is to manage the overall business with specific attention to acquisitions, campaign strategies and key partnerships. Originally from Canada, she has lived in London since 1998 where she started out as a graduate student at the School of Oriental and African Studies, working at the London Film Festival and writing freelance for The Guardian. In 2002, she and Edward Fletcher started Soda Pictures and have gone on to release over 350 films, have a staff of 20 people and be part of an international media group Thunderbird Films with operations in London, Toronto, Vancouver and Los Angeles.

​Key titles in the Soda Pictures filmography include Head-On by Fatih Akin, Jean-Marc Vallée’s C.R.A.Z.Y., Haruki Murakami adaptation Norwegian Wood and all of Kelly Reichardt’s work in the earlier days and more recently such acclaimed films as Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive, Oscar-nominated documentary Finding Vivian Maier, groundbreaking Wadjda frohhm Saudi Arabia and crowd-pleaser Rams from Iceland, as well as in Canada Lone Scherfig’s The Riot Club, Michael Fassbender starrer Slow West and Ben Wheatley’s High-Rise starring Tom Hiddleston, Sienna Miller and Jeremy Irons. Upcoming they have Paterson starring Adam Driver, Terence Davies’ A Quiet Passion starring Cynthia Nixon, documentary David Lynch: The Art Life and German break-out comedy Toni Erdmann.​
